Tour marketing and audience development for State of Emergency bid

Issue:

Deborah Baddoo of State of Emergency planned to apply for ACE Strategic Touring Fund support for its Love and Sex tour aimed largely at young people. They needed help to create a coherent audience development and marketing strategy with their different partners to ensure the success of the bid and the tour.

Response:

I provided a marketing framework for how they jointly marketed the tour with their receiving venues. Later, when the STF bid was successful, I provided detailed workflows for each of their staff roles covering communications, marketing and audience development; as well as expectation plans and contract clauses for the tour partners and the venues booking the tour.

Impact:

State of Emergency succeeded in winning the Strategic Touring Fund support and ran a successful, embedded Per-Mission/ Love and Sex tour with each of the regional partners.
