The marketing members of the House theatre support network reported that they struggled to make time and headspace to think about marketing for strategic aims in addition to daily show marketing. And that they needed to gain increased support internally for this focus. House asked me to run a training session.
I took participants through techniques such as more efficiently managing the day-to-day, managing upwards, setting priorities and influencing skills – and all in a compact, 2-hour session.
People appreciated the time out to think, understand and start to prepare actions they could take. Some of the participants reported putting the skills into practice within just a few days.
