With a new Director, the Free Word Centre is looking to create a new focus for its events and impact with new and younger audiences; and consolidate its relationships with tenant organisations and partners as part of this. The aim formed the core of it’s NPO bid to Arts Council England in January 2017.
I worked at a strategic advisory level to help clarify Free Word’s purpose and desired audiences and fed into the NPO bid while helping recruit new teams to take charge of day-to-day marketing. I then developed a five-year Audience Development Strategy to allow these aims to develop organically, plus an Evaluation and Reflection Framework to help them keep on track.
Free Word were successful in their NPO bid for 2018-2022 and are starting to implement the changing approaches to event planning:see the website for evolving news.
